‘From Spectators to Spect-actors: using forum theatre to explore global citizenship’ is a resource booklet which introduces teachers and others to the concepts of global citizenship and forum theatre. It includes step-by-step session plans with information on getting started, warm-up games, exercises and activities. Covering key stages 2-4, the booklet sets out the key elements of global citizenship, showing both progression and differentiation. The aim of forum theatre is to change the spectator from a passive to an active participant. Forum theatre is not solely for drama teachers. The technique can be adapted and used for any subject and for whole school assemblies.
